Description:

The lesson begins by using a quiz to test the students' prior knowledge on the subject of famous inventions and investors and then builds on this knowledge (working with the handout and the video). At the end of the lesson, the students should able to apply their knowledge and contribute their ideas creatively.

Goals:
To get students to think about the importance of innovation and to encourage them to develop creative solutions to real-world problems.
By looking at key inventors, their inventions and their impact on the world, pupils should develop an understanding of how innovation can drive progress and the wellbeing of society.
In addition, they should recognise the diversity of the inventive world, including the contributions of women and the wide range of disciplines that contribute to innovation.
Students should be encouraged to take action and develop their own ideas to improve the world and learn to communicate their ideas persuasively and convince others of the importance of their inventions.
