Bundle of Spotter's Lists

Encourage children to look at their surroundings with this Brown Owl's spotter's list!This activity can be done ona school or a family visit to the zoo! All you need is to print the sheet and take a pencil with you. If you spot something on the list, tick it off/cross it out/circle it.How many animals can you find? Can you find the TOP SPOT? There are many different ways to use this spotter's list.Traditionally you take it with you on holiday at the beach and see what you can spot.Version 1: read and colour/cross off the objects that you seeVersion 2: read and count how many times you see each objectVersion 3: colour what you seeVersion 4: read and draw what you have seenHowever, not everyone spends their holidays at the seaside. In which case, you can use the spotter's list in conjunction with my rhyming picture book 'Brown Owl at the Seashore'.It's a great way to practise key words that have come up in the story.Whilst/after reading the picture book, children can go back and tick off/colour in/draw or count what they have seen.Have fun reading and rhyming with Brown Owl!For more information about my rhyming picture books visit:www.readandrhyme.at
