test exam Prüfung B2 C1
If you are an ESL ELL teacher and need to improve your students’ vocabulary, this will help them. It’s aimed at ESL ELL students who are preparing a B2 First, Trinity, Aptis General, a review for C1 Advanced or Secondary and Bachillerato students.
ESL ELL EFL books don’t usually have enough practice when it comes to Use of English, they tend to have a lot of pictures or exercises that don’t actually match the structure of the real exam. This is what we found most of the time so in order to help my students, I created a series of worksheets, both printable and digital, which will help them improve their Use of English Skills. This one is focused on Grammar and Vocabulary and Rewrite exercises.
Who we use it with:
ESL ELL EFL students who want to improve their grammar and vocabulary skills.
ESL ELL EFL students who are preparing an official certificate such as B2 First, C1 Advanced, TOEIC, Aptis General or Advanced, IELTS, TOEFL, etc.
Secondary and Bachillerato students who need to improve their grammar and vocabulary Skills.
*it’s a good review for students who want to start with a C1 or have just started preparing a C1 level.
The way we use it:
· Intensive or regular courses + little time: students do some exercises and we correct them and add some new words we may find interesting. If there is not enough time, they can do them at home, both on paper or if they prefer it on Online Slides.
· Intensive or regular courses + time: Students do some exercises and we correct them aloud, helping them with pronunciation and intonation. We encourage them to use what they are learning in their sentences so that we can improve their Speaking Skills. Apart from that, we tell them to write down some of these words and structures and use them in future essays (as long as the context and register allow it)
It is good that students have their own vocabulary notebooks so they can write down the words they don´t know, perhaps some new words/structures that we can tell them to add if we see it necessary and it would also be a good idea to write these vocabulary words in a sentence, with context.
This worksheet includes:
117- Rewrite exercises. Student’s Worksheet.
117- Rewrite exercises. Teacher’s Worksheet. It is exactly the same as the student’s one, but with the answer key written over it to avoid going back and forth to read the sentence in case we need to explain something to our students.
Online Slides with the same exercises as the Worksheet.
