This story walk is a fun activity for a winter topic and it will get all of your students moving!There is a vocabulary worksheet to give the students the essential vocabulary they need to do the story walk.Before the activity, put the pictures up on the wall around the classroom, or even better in a larger space like the corridor or outside. Students read each part of the text and find the matching picture. They then write the letter of that picture on their worksheet. At the end of the activity, they can check their answers to find out how Martin the moose is feeling.The story walk is available at 5 different levels so you can use this activity in many different classes, or simply pick the best level for each student in your class. There are also many extension activities at different levels for students to complete after the story walk.

Dominoes is a great game for practising vocabulary.How to play:You need 3 or more players.Divide the cards equally between players. The person with the start card begins. Students take it in turns to play. If you do not have the correct card to play, you miss a turn. The first person to get rid of all of their cards, wins.(A student can also work alone and try and put all the cards down themselves)
