Ready-to-use material for lessons on 9/11.
The September 11 material covers at least a double period and is perfect for year 8 and up. It includes speaking tasks, writing task, gap fill, video activity, podcast activity, lesson plan and solutions.
The Afghanistan material can be used on its own but is also a great follow-up activity for (strong) year 10s and up. It also covers 2-3 lessons and includes listening, speaking, reading and analyzing a speech tasks.
After finishing the 9/11 material, I give my students this as homework. It is pretty much what the 9/11 memorial website suggests as a lesson, but turned into a homework worksheet that the students can work on on their own.
