Looking for a low-prep speaking activity to get your students talking at the beginning of the school year? This Back-to-School Speaking Game encourages meaningful conversations, personal reflection and classroom community building through simple dice-based discussion prompts. Students roll two dice, answer the corresponding question and respond to their classmates' ideas.
The material includes three differentiated discussion grids for different age and language levels, making it suitable from lower secondary through upper secondary classrooms. Questions focus on topics such as holidays, goals, learning habits, friendships, classroom culture and personal development.
