Read and Rhyme with Brown Owl - BUNDLE OF ACCORDION BOOKS

Children can make their own accordion books to practise reading rhyming word/phrases from 'Brown Owl' by Rachel Schmidlechner and Nadja Grace Bodner.e.g. Cat - hat - bat or Cat in a hat The books are very simple to make.  Colour the pictures, cut them out, read the words on the other sheet and stick the pictures in the correct place. Then cut off the edges, fold along the middle line and fold like a fan.  TIP: The colouring of the picture sheets can also be carried out as a colour dictation.e.g. Colour Cat black! Children can take the accordion books home and show off their reading skills. Klassenstufen: 1-2. Klasse

Children can make their own accordion books to help them read the zoo animals that come up in the story 'Brown Owl at the Zoo'. The books are very simple to make.  Simply cut off the edges, fold along the middle line and then fold like a fan. Next, colour the pictures, cut them out and stick them above the correct word. TIP: The colouring of the picture sheets can also be carried out as a colour dictation. E.g. Where is the elephant? Colour the elephant grey!EXTRA: Play games! Ask the children to show you the wolf/giraffe/monkey etcYou can also play guessing games. Pick a page in your book. Can the kids guess which one it is? E.g. Is it the hippo? Yes, it is!
