This teaching module is designed for secondary school students (Levels I and II) and focuses on exploring the intersection of gender and climate justice. It delves into how gender dynamics influence climate change impacts and responses, particularly within African contexts.
The module begins by examining the unique ways in which climate change affects genders differently, particularly highlighting the disproportionate impacts on women in Africa, who are often involved in agriculture and are vulnerable to climate-related challenges such as droughts and flooding.
Our teaching materials consist of a comprehensive introductory text, worksheets with tasks and questions, a role model showing options of agency and a project example from Africa. Thanks to the modules, teachers can easily plan lessons regarding the topics.
The modules can be used in various situations. Since they contain further information and links, they help students to research more on the specific topic independently.
