This resource serves as a research guideline where students need to do independent research on the following events regarding black history in the US:

• Slavery 
• Civil War & Abraham Lincoln
• Jim Crow Laws & Segregation
• Rosa Parks
• KuKlux Klan & Civil Rights
• Martin Luther King Jr.
• Black Lives Matter & George Floyd

They are encouraged to research the topics based on guiding questions and creative activities. Furthermore, five QR-codes including articles or videos supporting the research are provided on the corresponding sheets. After researching each topic and completing various tasks, students are encouraged to reflect on what they have learned and state their personal opinion on it.

This resource is ready to use as it. Students can work independently on it. However, it can also serve as a guiding overview of black history in the US, and deepen some of the topics in more detail in plenary.
