Start your ESL lessons with curiosity and smiles! This Pupquiz is a fun, low-pressure quiz designed to spark students’ interest in the English language while giving you a quick sense of their current understanding.How to use it:Read the questions to your students. They answer them individually or in small groups on a sheet of paper. After that, students swap sheets with a different student (or group of students). Then you read the answers and the explanaition to them while they correct it.This created an open, low-pressure environment for active learning and discussion — perfect for the first day!

This resource serves as an introduction to the USA.Duration: 30 minutesHow it works:Students get together in teams.The teacher reads the questions and students write down their answers on a sheet.After having asked all the questions, students swap their sheets with a different group.The teacher then gives the solutions to all questions, and students check their peers' answers and give one point for each correct answer.They then count the points and swap back their sheets.The group with the most points wins.Enjoy!

This material contains 8 cards in total. Seven cards contain different role play scenarios on the theme of Inventions. One further card can be used as a template for the pupils to develop their own story.Level: B1-B2The cards can be used in different ways: The students are given approx. 10-20 minutes to divide up the roles and prepare a suitable script, which they then present.Students with a higher language level are only given a short time to divide the roles and discuss the process (max. 5 minutes). They are then asked to improvise the role play.Pupils are assigned a scenario. All the titles of the 6 role plays are written on the board.
