The "Steps to Peace" is a model designed to help resolve conflicts. It teaches children how to communicate, cooperate, and manage disagreements. The steps guide children in recognizing conflicts on their own, finding solutions, and resolving them. The Steps to Peace include four simple steps. Children come together and share their feelings and needs. The cards used for this activity are printed, laminated, and laid out on the floor like a staircase or bridge. As the children move across the cards, they approach each other and meet in the middle at the green card, participating in the conflict resolution process together. The first page of the PDF explains the symbols and briefly describes the process. The following pages contain symbol cards that can be particularly useful in kindergartens. Starting from page 6, there are pages that provide further explanations of the symbol cards. These can be printed and used as a backside. The second version is suitable for older children.
