The aim of this board game is to practise transforming sentences from direct speech into indirect (reported) speech. The game includes statements, questions, commands, and suggestions.
The set consists of a printable board with 20 squares and 20 cards. Each card contains a sentence in direct speech along with a prompt to help students rewrite it in reported speech.
To play, students need a dice and counters. Taking turns, each player rolls the dice, moves their counter to the corresponding square, and selects a card to complete the sentence. Although the game is designed for speaking practice, students may also write down their answers. The first player to reach square 20 wins the game.
An interactive version is also available for use on electronic devices.
