This material is ready to use, fills about one double period, and is perfect for an introduction to the topic of South Africa.

Students go on a virtual field trip. Every student needs a laptop or tablet and the interactive PDF. They get to choose what they want to see and do in South Africa by clicking through the PDF (There are arrows and sometimes the students can choose between different options. There are also links and QR codes to YouTube videos or 360° experiences. Students can scan them or click on them.). Not every student will see and learn the same things, so it is important that everyone takes notes and discusses them in groups afterward. At the end, you can discuss them in the plenary to make sure everyone knows the most important details about the aspects covered in the material. Personally, I just use this as a fun introduction to the topic, and I don’t need every student to know about every single sight, food and sport in South Africa.
