The "Find the intruder" game is a fun and interactive activity designed to help ESL learners practice vocabulary and observation skills. In this game, students identify the word that doesn't fit the pattern on a card full of pictures, adding a twist to traditional vocabulary practice.

• Print the cards double-sided. Please, choose “short edge binding” so that the answers are behind each card.

• Laminate the cards.
• Cut along the line and bind the cards together to create a booklet.

• Encourage your students to identify the intruder word by examining the pictures. Allow time for observation and discussion.

• Students can self check their answers by turning the cards.

This game can be played individually or in pairs, and is a great addition to learning centers or corners.
